What Is GPS LipoControl?

GPS LipoControl is a minimally invasive evolution of traditional liposuction. It harnesses the power of two effective technologies: laser energy and GPS. Let’s take a closer look at how these things work to help define your shape.

Cosmetically, laser energy is used for its ability to generate heat safely. During laser liposuction, the heat melts unwanted fat so that it can be easily suctioned away. This process is often referred to as laser-assisted lipolysis. The warmth generated by the laser also stimulates skin-smoothing collagen and elastin.

Meanwhile, GPS technology offers a unique element of precision. It tells Dr. Castor exactly where the laser and cannula are in real time. Additionally, it provides an accurate picture of how much energy is being delivered to the treatment area.

Much like the GPS in your car, this device lets Dr. Castor know where he has been and where he needs to go. The tracking system allows for uniform treatment, preventing over- or under-correction.

Is GPS Lipo Right For Me?

If you want to eliminate stubborn pockets of diet and exercise-resistant fat, GPS LipoControl is likely an ideal solution.

Several factors can affect your candidacy, including:

  • Your BMI
  • Your general health
  • Your skin tone and elasticity
  • Your goals for treatment

Before your procedure, you’ll meet with Dr. Castor to discuss your goals and evaluate your candidacy. He will explain the treatment and give you an idea of the results that you may expect.

GPS LipoControl can be used on many different areas of the body, including your “love handles,” “muffin top,” and back fat. It’s an excellent treatment if you’re looking for long-lasting results, since the eliminated fat cells can’t come back.

What To Expect From A GPS LipoControl Procedure

When you arrive for your procedure, you will be guided to our accredited in-office surgical suite. From there, Dr. Castor will numb the treatment area for your comfort. Due to the precise nature of GPS LipoControl, there is no need for general anesthesia.

LipoControl involves little to no downtime. You may feel a bit sore after treatment. Additionally, mild bruising or swelling may appear.

These effects generally resolve on their own in a day or two. In contrast, recovery from traditional liposuction can take weeks.
